Work It Out

This past weekend I competed in my second bodybuilding competition - the NGA Titan Classic in Urbandale, IA on June 22nd.  A few of the same people were at this one that were also at the NANBF Natural Iowa three weeks ago, which was my first show, and I think everyone had a great time!  A few of the same girls from my class were there and we had fun chatting it up backstage.  One of the greatest surprises about entering the competition world is how NICE and supportive everyone is!  Just about everyone I've met and talked to have been extremely friendly and encouraging, and my Facebook fit family has grown exponentially!  It's nice to have a support system of people who understand the work it takes to do something like this, and I'm sure they will continue to be there for me!

Here are a few shots from the weekend:

My first pose as I started my T-walk

Backstage with Brittany, one of the girls I met at the previous show.
She KILLED it and got her pro card at this show - congratulations!!!

Myself and some of the other competitors backstage with Kris Hamerlinck, IFPA bikini pro.
She was there to cheer us on!  Can you tell she wasn't competing that day?  ;)

All in all, I have had an undescribably amazing time with my entire competition experience.  I felt so clueless going into this, since I was really just experimenting with all of it, but I have learned so much and met so many amazing people, and for that I am incredibly grateful.  And now I know how to get my abs to show if I ever need them again ;)

Below are a few pics from the previous show, the NANBF Natural Iowa on June 1st in Des Moines:

The Central Midwest Bikini Tall class onstage for prejudging - I'm second to the end on the left

Backstage with some of the girls I met the day of the show.
It was nice to meet some new friendly faces!

Backstage with Katie, who I met shortly before the competition.  She was so helpful and gave me tips to help me get ready during peak week - I don't know what I would have done without her!

My first show, and I placed!  I got fourth, which I was totally happy with!
