Recipes

People often ask for recipes of the healthy dishes and desserts I make.  Well before I start attempting to constantly post links to all sorts of recipes I've found, let me share a few of the key websites I use to find my delectable dishes!

My Pinterest Boards

Yes, I use Pinterest religiously these days.  Cliche? Yes.  Does it work? Yes.  I've begun using it as my own personal on-line recipe book.  I have a couple of boards for general recipes, and a board called BodyBuilding Recipes that focuses on high-protein, low-carb dishes, both savory and sweet.  If you're looking to stay on a muscle-building, leaned-out diet, these posts and the boards they come from will be very helpful!

FoodGawker

If you haven't heard of FoodGawker before, welcome to my addiction.  It's not a health food website, but you can easily narrow down your search to find exactly what you're looking for.  Whether it's gluten-free, vegan, paleo, dairy-free, just search it and you're bound to find something up your alley!  This is also a great way to stumble upon what may become some of your own favorite foodie blogs!  Warning: the pictures on this site are drool-inducing - have napkins on hand before searching.

Desserts With Benefits

This blog is absolutely amazing.  If you're like me and have a nearly-insatiable sweet tooth, but feel like you have to constantly "deny" yourself the sweet goodies you love, have no fear!  This girl has taken some amazing desserts and turned them on their heads to create waistline-friendly versions.  You can even search by your specific needs/wants, such as gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free, high protein, etc.  She does use alternative ingredients, so you may have to hit up the health food market of your grocery store to get some of the specifics, but I promise you it will be worth it!

Jamie Eason's LiveFit Recipes

Jamie Eason is a fitness guru whose LiveFit program has helped many people with their weight loss journeys.  She is a former fitness competitor who has dedicated her career to all-natural fitness and has come up with some AMAZING recipes to help keep you on track but also keep your taste buds happy!  She has some particularly good recipes for protein bars if you're looking to shake things up from your normal protein bar supplements.

Living Low Carb

A comprehensive blog with many low-carb friendly recipes, easily searchable by food type (entree, side dish, dessert, etc.)

Muscle & Strength Recipes

There aren't a ton of recipes on here, but there are some good wholesome ideas that won't set you back from that toned bod you're looking for!

My Whole Food Life

Whole food recipes for any time of day!  Not only does this blogger have many whole food recipes on hand, she also shares her own research results on processed foods, how to help your family get on board with your diet, and other tips and advice to help with your wholesome, healthy lifestyle.
